At the onset of this pandemic, my desire for actual in-person collaborations with other musicians spawned Blood Activation. At the completion of the first volume, I assumed my interest would instantly deviate into other realms and that there would only be one, yet I found myself immediately starting to work on a second volume. So, this sonic journey which sparked my rethinking of my instrument as another musician in and of itself would continue it's life.

Here in volume two, the expansion upon my original concept of
computer/human collaborations came about via altering the computer's randomness parameters (which still determine the notes
and tempos) as well as blurring the lines of my role as
conductor/composer. Not only was I choosing the instrumentation
and when they were heard but there were also a few instances
where I intervened by playing a couple of riffs on the midi instruments by hand. I challenge the listener to figure out which passages were played by human hands and which were chosen by the computer!

Keep in mind that there are absolutely no acoustic instruments on this
recording and that this is not artificial intelligence.
